A Peek Inside the paNASH Style Closet: Animal Print

This peek inside the paNASH Style closet comes from our newest Associate Stylist, Emma Newsom. Emma also works as a curve model and understands the challenges and opportunities of dressing a curvy body. She has modeled for Fruit of the Loom, Dillard's, Weight Watchers Magazine, and more.

I don't know about you, but this season I am LOVING sweaters with animals on them! It's such a fun new trend as opposed to a plain or color blocking sweater. I picked this outfit because in my opinion it's casual chic; simple yet interesting. The colors work well together, and the pop of the cobalt blue heel adds just enough pizzazz! The blazer styled coat can be dressed up or down, and the cheetah print adds something different to this relatively neutral outfit. I kept the shoe a solid to keep the look balance.

This outfit is perfect for a variety of occasions, including casual Friday at work, dinner with friends, weekend get-togethers, or holiday outings. The different textures and colors really come together to form a fun and functional outfit. And if heels aren't your thing, find a flat with a pop of color and you'll be good to go!

For accessories, you can definitely go with a simple necklace, or something a little bolder as pictured here. I chose a fuchsia lip gloss to compliment the colors, and a pretty tortoise glasses frame. Finally, I added a briefcase style purse. It can dress up any look, but also keep it simple since it's a classic style in a neutral color.

Remember, mixing colors and textures is a good thing, as long as there is a common flow in either the colors or the prints. This look could work for just about any shape; it's just a matter of finding the right style of coat to flatter your body type.
